We ate here in Sept 2026. Five adults, ate here for dinner on a Thursday night. Food was awful, the unsweetened iced tea had some sort of aftertaste. The posole was sludgy, like it sat there allll day, meat was fiberous, the corn posole was pulverized, they weren't whole no more, there was no broth anymore, just sludgy. Disappointing changes at a long-standing favorite. I have been a frequent guest at Virgie's for years, always appreciating their dependable customer service and great food. After finding out they were under new management, I went in eager to see what had changed.The initial impression was highly positive. ⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, our dining experience was very disappointing. The restaurant may have been beautifully renovated, but the quality of the food and customer service definitely need improvement. The chips were extremely hard, to the point that they hurt everyone's teeth and gums, so we stopped eating them. The fajitas were tough and burnt, and the steak didn't even look like real steak.
