Dr Viozzi was the worst doctor I have ever met at Mayo. I'm shocked that anyone allowed him to work at such a prestigious institution. He minimized my fears, talked down to me, and could not empathize with my anxiety for being sedated/ having the procedure in general. He was degrading and condescending. At one point when I was asking about the medications used for sedation, he stopped me and said "where do you work again?" I was switched to Dr. Viozzi's care so my procedure date could be moved up. When meeting with him before the scheduled procedure he was very thorough and even asked about my PTSD to make sure he didn't trigger me. After noticing an infection I had was much more severe he decided to postpone surgery for my safety & prescribed me antibiotics. Dr. Viozzi is very caring and understanding- he has his patient's best interest in mind. I've gone to Mayo for years in multiple departments & he's the best.
Great customer service. Genuine confidence that is deserved. Provides a hopeful message and a good sense of humor. Excellent surgeon. took the time to explain the procedure in detail.
