Vinyl Smart Fencing Company installed an attached solid top patio cover to the back of my home several years ago. About a couple years after the installation I noticed water being trapped in the underside rafters from rain and asked them to return to check it out. They returned and drilled a hole at the bottom of each rafter to allow for water drainage. We used this company years ago to install fencing around ours/our neighbors property. .and were very happy, However, we recently had them come back to remove a door so a purchase we made could fit through. They sent a young boy who when I asked how much to take the door off, said $200 should do it. I negotiated him down to $150.00 and he said that worked for him because were were nice people. First and foremost, this “company” lacks the absolute basics of customer service. Atrocious customer service and incompetent ownership. We hired them to replace the railings around our entire complex. They installed very flimsy vinyl that was unstable, lacked proper reinforcements, and likely the cheapest material they could find. They left the job partially complete, and when we asked them to complete it, they agreed and set a future date. We arranged to be home and they flat out didn’t show up! Terrible Customer Service. Our Neighbors wanted to use them since they had a good experience in the past but from the moment we signed the contract it was a disappointment. They lied on the time frame and was off by 5 weeks. The product is ok but should be installed with more cement to make it sturdier. After all this, we still inquired about an additional gate but have never heard back. The owner said he would come back with a spring for one of the gates and did not.
