Vinson Mortgage Group was amazing. If you are looking for a trust worthy, hard working company that cares about their customers this is it. They literally did all the work. I found the house we wanted and they found me the best interest rate and always updated me on the progress. I would highly recommend working with Jim Lyle. He was amazing.

I have a rental property that I needed to refinance as my previous mortgage had been moved around quite a bit due to banks being bought and sold and was running into some issues. I tried several other local mortgage companies and banks, but no one seemed to think I was going to be able to make it work. I wish there was an option for no stars. I was pre approved for a USDA loan in July of 2015 for a new home build. I work with a Garret who for over six months told me the loan was fine. Three days before we were set to close and move into our new house, I received a phone call from Garret saying the loan was denied. Garret had over six months to work on this loan and waited until three days before we close to start to do his job. They don't return phone calls or answer emails. front desk says they are in but don't answer the phone. I call several times and left voice mails asking for a return call and waiting all afternoon for nothing. Terrible way to run a business.

Earlier this year, we tried to refinance so we could pay off some bills & do some repairs around the house. Sheila Watson came out and went over things with my husband and I. She was enjoyable to work with. The appraisers that they used were not. It took over a month to get them to set up an appointment, then they rescheduled and then when they came out to take pictures, they told us that our soffits needing fixed wouldn't keep the appraisal from going through.
