My family recently visited Dr. Vanita’s office, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We found both the doctor and members of the staff to be unprofessional and dismissive in their communication. At times, the behavior felt disrespectful and made us uncomfortable. Healthcare providers should create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and treated equally. Sadly, that was not our experience during this visit. If I could give Dr Matthew and the nursing staff at Northwestern Surgical Center in Warrenville 100 stars I would. She performed the steroid injections to my spine today and even though I was terrified because of information given me by well meaning friends and neighbors,she totally put me at ease. Throughout the procedure Dr Matthew kept me informed as to what she was about to do and it was completely painless. It is now almost 11 pm, 12 hours after surgery, and still have very little pain. My 85 year old saw Dr. Mathew for a broken vertebrae in his back. We had many, many questions. She was patient and prescribed pain medications, provided healing time frame expectations and gave us some general recommendations such as wearing a back brace and limiting physical therapy until the major back pain was gone. She was right on target with everything. Excellent doctor!
