Wine was spectacular, and food not only mouth watering, but plentiful! Monday night football--half price drinks & half price FOOD! – One of the best "sports bars" in Chicago because of its upscale vibe and beautiful enclosed sunroom. As a 40 something.....i appreciated the non-brawl like atmosphere, it was fun, upbeat but not annoyingly rowdy. There are no bad seats, all are clear views to the high def screens --which are everywhere. We ordered two white wines, one German the other California and they were PHENOMENAL. The se... read more

The hairiest chode I ever saw! – I walked into the bathroom at Vines one night and there was a guy perched up on the sink tweezing his chode hair! I could not believe it. But get this.. I went back to my table to sit down and the guy from the bathroom turns out to be my waiter!! I was speachless! When our food came I commented about his personal hygiene and he told me if I did not like it I could leave. On my way out I was then insulted by the restaurant manager for not being socially acceptable of other people's bathroom ha... read more

Not your average meal – We recently revisited Vines to see if the quality had remained as good as we remembered. We had been there for dinner with friends, ordering several appetizers, entrees and desserts and splitting them to get a sense of the restaurant. Every dish we had from the fish to the pasta, to the pizza to the pecan crusted chicken and ingenious desserts was wonderful. The paper napkins in face of this marvelous setting and inspired food was baflling, however. We recenttly returned for brunch and I believe that ... read more

Great food - wonderful location – I have lived in Wrigleyville for years and have had food at almost every bar on Clark. I love Vines because I can get more than your standard wings and nachos that are served everywhere else. The pasta is wonderful...my only complaint is that the drinks are a little pricey for this neighborhood.

great location – we went to vines. i had wanted to go back to bar louie , but having already been there, and just moved to wrigleyville we made a pact to try everything once. vines looked nice, we were seated quickly and then actively ignored by our waiter. in between getting the table next to us their ketchup bottle, checking with the other tables around us and then flirting with another table, our drinks never arrived. we waited for him to say something like "i'll see what's keeping your drinks", but he couldn't be bothere... read more

Sophisticated pasta and panini served--indoors and out--in the shadows of Wrigley Field. – The Scene Although the restaurant is rooted in Cubs country, the focus isn't on baseball. Dark wood seating, blown glass lighting and a sunroom complete with fireplace create a romantic mood. Flying solo? An outdoor patio and rooftop dining area is where neighborhood 20-somethings snag a few brews. Friendly, helpful servers make noshing here a treat. The Food While there's nary a hot dog on the menu, the gouda-topped, hand-pressed burg... read more

Outdoor Scene – The outdoor patio and rooftop dining of Vines is the key to summertime. I was walking down Clark just past Cubby Bear and saw the Vines on Clark sign. I went in and was excited about the atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the staff. I dined on the rooftop and ate homemade pasta and the best dessert ever-plum tart. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It will be the scene this summer check it out.

People Watching – If you are into food, the Cubs and people watching you won't be able to beat the padio of Vines on Clark. It's located next to Cubby Bear and there is a great outdoor patio perfect for people watching. The food is un-beatable if you've ever wanted gourmet food in a casual atmosphere. TRY THE CHOCOLATE CAKE, it's the best I've found.

best kept secret in wrigleyville – I heard someone on ESPN radio talk about this place and described it as "the best kept secret in Wrigleyville"so I went for a pre game sandwich. I don't think this place will be a secret for long. The food, especially the pasta, was excellent and the service was great also but, if your into people watching like I am, the patio on Clark street is the perfect place to sit and watch the hoards descend on Wrigley.
