Dr Reid accepted a case to remove husband’s gallbladder at 5:30 am at Mercy Medical Center and instead of scheduling the surgery same day, the procedure was set for the following day, at 5:00 PM. This late timing seemed unusual, especially as his pain could only be managed with alternating doses of Dilaudid and Oxycodone every two hours.
