Beware, it seems like the primary mission of this establishment is to make money off of you with zero consideration for proper care of your vision. My mother went here for a "free" eye exam, which was done quickly, one could describe it as "hastily". Immediately following the exam, staff shifted focus to push for purchase of a new set of glasses with emphasis on something totaling several hundred dollars, which would not have been out of pocket. I had a great experience with Dr Hsu. I was seen on time and my exam was thorough, but quick. The result is the best pair of glasses I've ever had. The prescription is perfect, the fit is perfect, and the woman helping me chose a pair was helpful but I never thought she was trying to up-sell me. After 3 years of wearing glasses from a nation wide retailer (WP) that fell off my face and the lenses never felt quite right, I couldn't be happier. Do not let an elderly come here. My father came here two weeks ago to make an appointment because Medicare referred this doctor. A man working there asked him to sit down, so my father proceeds to sit on the chair. Then my father asked about making an appointment and the same man rudely kicked him out. I am disgusted by the condescending disrespectful treatment my father received simply by asking for an appointment. No one deserves that type of treatment.
Dr. Hsu is one of the kindest and most thorough optometrists I've ever been to. Make an appointment or be prepared to wait. The best thing: I got an eye exam on Sunday afternoon. =)
