It's been 8 weeks since I dropped off papers. They have no record of it. Set an appt to get paperwork processed in person and my eligibility redetermination taken care of. They just scanned the paperwork I had dropped off 8 weeks ago and said they will go from there instead of handling the eligibility redetermination at the same time. Called them to set up an SSI phone interview to see if I qualified for disability. Actually surprised someone answered. Very condescending and treated me like I was stupid for not understanding some questions. I get that that job has to be very taxing, but as someone who’s worked in a maximum security prison, you can still be professional. Thanks, SSA and US government. Now, I don’t know what to do about all this. Nothing ever gets done about it.
