The other review for the Villages of Van Cleve that I just read on this website is so far removed from my experience living here that I have to wonder if the reviewer is in a healthy frame of mind. That being said, this is the nicest place that I have ever lived. I have lived in several different states, and three different countries. If anyone is looking for an institutional setting for renting an apartment, this is the place to rent at. It has the look and feel of a Mausoleum, but even those places have carpeting and windows, Van Cleve has neither. It is a 55+ independent living complex, but not too many residents are independent. I would say about half of residents have a caregiver. This place is a NURSING HOME. This place is very cheap, so families seem to dump their elderly relatives here, along with a caregiver to avoid Nursing home costs. You can't... read more
