Village Way is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! It sucked. Worst food and service I ever had in my life. Pasta Primavera and Penne ala Vodka were terrible. Service was crap. I wouldn't recommened them to the starving children in the third world countries. Best tip I can give to other customers is that there are way better places in Port Jeff to choose from. Go somewhere else.
ok for seafood This is one of the Port Jefferson staple restaurants. It has been here forever and it pretty mediocre, but people still come anyway. The one thing that they have going for them is that they are on a main road, but at the same time they are right on the harbor. So if you are looking for meal with a view, this is a good place to come. The best place to park for this place is in the lot behind the Gap. Either that or walk here. The fried platters are decent too.
poor customer service, skimpy salad Disappointed. Ordered two Granny Smith salads with chicken included for $12.95. My husband thought we were over charged but the hostess argued that chicken was $3.00 extra per salad. When we looked it up online, the menu said, $12.95 including chicken, lunch or dinner. When I called back to advise her that she did in fact over charge us, she became argumentative and insisted that that was the lunch menu. Regular Jill's review cannot be of the Village Way. Although this place is a staple restaurant it is not on the harbor but it does not need the view to make it good. They have great burgers and a wonderful selection of seafood. The specials are always great and sure to please. Entertainment on weekends adds to the atmosphere. Karaoke Saturday nights is my favorite.
The Village Way is great! Lunch, brunch, dinner The Village Way is great. I'm a local and love the Way! No fast food here. The Kitchen knows what their doing and the Daily Specials keeps me coming back. Cozy atmosphere and a great staff makes me feel special every time I stop by. Good food, nice bar, good staff can't ask for more!
Johnny B Your correct..Jills review must be for another place..perhaps the Dockside. But anyway..The Village Way rocks!. Sat night Karaoke with DJ Don or DJ Russ is a blast. The food is wonderful.check out the daily specials.And prices for a full service resturant in Port Jeff cant be beat.Try the Teriyaki Salmon or White Clam Linguini.Great selection of wine and tap beer and the freshest Guinness in town.
