I figured with everything going on, and buying from Amazon doesn’t help the local business. We’ve been looking for a bike for my 9 year old. My wife came back from the bike shop today and I asked what did you guys find. She said: we walked in and the guy says. “We don’t have anything in his size” referring to my son?! Well I guess Not much has changed since I shopped there from when I was a kid. I’ll went to bikesdirect.com and found a great deal free shipping!!!! And no attitude!!!!
I'm a disabled Veteran. I put money down on a bike at the village pedaler in South Elgin. They said I could put a bike on Layaway. They said I could pay for the bike however I wanted and that it didn't have to be once a month. I moved closer to my VA hospital up North in March 2020. I called to make a payment after I moved. One guy said he couldn't find my name and hung up. I called back and spoke to someone else who put me through to the alleged owner. Nancy, I am really sorry for the way we have treated you, and your bike layaway. We regularly put bikes on layaway in October, as you did, and people pay for them over the winter and pick them up in February or March. Since we hadn't heard from you since the first of the year, and I did try to call once in March and once the end of April. We returned your bike to stock on June 1st. RecommendedThis place is amazing. We had our bikes tuned up in the spring, and my bike was making a strange sound this past week so when I called, the owner came to my house and fixed it for me, talk about customer service. I highly recommend these folks to anyone and everyone!
