Great community, awesome neighborhood.
The neighborhood is as wonderful as when I grew up here 20 years ago, but the playgrounds have suffered. The "turtle park" between the clubhouse and Arbor Ct has been stripped of swings, slides and all sometime in 2026...leaving nothing but a featureless patch of grass and the lone concrete turtle. Likewise the largest park, which had the best hill for children to roll, ride or sled down, now has a modern playset installed right in the middle and its venerable older playset also removed. People are kind of rude and mean here
Village green is affordable, conveniently located near downtown and Omaha's finest attractions, and neighbors are quiet and polite. The co-op fee is high, but it covers more than the average condo, including property tax, water, sewer, garbage, furnace, the structure inside and out, maintenance of four playground areas, the lawn, free use of the clubhouse, roads and parking lot (often newly painted), snow removal, and more.
