UPDATE (July 21, 2026): VGH conducted an air quality test in our unit 6 days ago. I'd say this late air quality test conducted in July is welcomed but cannot reflect the air quality we experienced in February. That being said, despite multiple formal requests from us, management still hasn't replied to us regarding the reports of the air quality test, and from the techinician visits in June for ventilation and insulation. UPDATE (July 21, 2026): VGH conducted an air quality test in our unit 6 days ago may or may not following medical advice given more than a month ago by UBC health clinic regarding our child's health and mine. Despite multiple formal requests, management seems to be actively withholding the unedited technician and laboratory reports from us. This includes our request for the original techinician reports done in June for not functioning HVAC and wall vent. Total lack of transparency regarding basic living safety. DON'T move into Symphony. There may be a MOULD issue going on in some of the units or maybe the whole building. We moved in from another VGH building last September thinking that we got a nicer place to live. As a matter of fact, our caretaker and the current building manager are nice and friendly; however this can't compensate for the fact that Symphony the building has some serious constructional issues that VGH refuses to deal with. I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've experience only kind, courteous and prompt service from staff. My building has an excellent cleaner. My guests love the guest suite... Location is great, our unit is great. Landscaping and playgrounds are phenomenal. My only complaint is the cost, but that is everywhere in BC.
