I wish I could give a negative star rating. The care, or lack there of, given to my grandfather is absolutely unacceptable. The staff clearly do not care about anything but a paycheck. They are rude, and do not care about patient rights or safety. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place if you want your loved one properly cared for.

SPIRITRUST LUTHERAN (THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR A SET OF NURSING HOMES IN YORK, PA) is an abusive, negligent, and financially AGGRESSIVE company. I hadn't seen my family member in many years because of issues in the family. I was made aware that this family member was going to be donated to science when she passed. That upset me very much, and I was prepared to give her a proper burial when it was her time. The person who was responsible for her finances etc, had passed away, so I was told she was signed over to the state (if that's true). I spoke with Rebecca Chancey, the staff social worker. Stay away staff was not friendly or compassionate with our elderly mother. We feel they pushed her out so they didn't have to deal with her what a shame on your part sprit trust. Never would I have thought a place could make family feel worse when going through such a difficult time. Never will recommend this place to anyone.
