Mallory Hotel This hotel is truly something special. The breakfasts at this hotel are to die for. Parking is pretty convenient. The staff here made our room stay all the more pleasant. They were nice and courteous. The room we stayed in was clean and quite comfortable, not to mention well-decorated. This hotel has a very quaint charm. Love it.
Hotel Lucia Centrally located downtown, this is where I recommend visitors stay when asked for a good hotel in town. Why? Because it's more uniquely Portland than a hotel chain could ever be. It's for people tired of the same old look of larger hotels, since when you walk into this one you feel more like it's a boutique. Certainly not on the low end in pricing, but it's affordable.
Mallory This is a very nice hotel, and though it is pretty old, it is renovated. It looks almost as good in real life as it does in the pictures. I think it should be a four star hotel instead of a three star. The bedding is nice. Our breakfast was delicious. The room was not too big but not too small.
Eh Hotel Lucia isn't as good as it seems. I didn't like that our room was very small. Still, it was comfortable and the bedding on ours beds were great. The furniture in the room was great. The decor was inviting. The hotel is located in a pretty good place downtown though. The staff at the front desk was helpful.
Over and Above My husband and I stayed here recently for a getaway and we couldn't have been more pleased with our accomodations. The hotel decor was newly redone and was just beautiful. There was a slight problem with our reservations, but we were well taken care of by an upgrade in our room! What most impressed me about Hotel Preston is that they treat each visitor as an individual and offer you choices for your room. Lovely facility I love all the "old" hotels we have in downtown. The mallory is actually my fav for some funny reasons. If you get into their garage before 10 it's $3 for parking the whole day! the Dining room is reasonable and tasty. And the hotel itself is just so elegant.
Cool hotel!! Fans of boutique hotels will love these sleek, stylish downtown digs!! Hotel Lucia is just a few blocks north of Pioneer Square and central downtown. Its a great locale, cause you can easily hop on a bus to southeast, or to northwest. Rooms are way cool.....staff is friendly....and there's a decent Thai restaurant next door.
