The cover under, your doctor should have told you before pusuing extremely expensive testing without ensuring the party they are billing can afford it. Shockingly expensive for a standard urine test with predatory billing practices. They are clearly aware that people are surprised by their fees.
I have had a similar experience as others on this thread with my son being charged $1,100 for a urine test. Insurance saying they were out of network and then writing it down to $400 and acting like they were giving me a break. They were so difficult just to get the CPT codes for the test (they almost refused) so I could compare to medicare allowable charges. My experience with their lab has been exceptional here in Canton Georgia. Lauren Edwards has been responsive to all of my residents needs at my Assisted Living Facility and they recently provided bloodwork for one of my residents. He was ecstatic about the speed of service. I would highly recommend.
Had a recent experience with them where a dermatoligist sent a skin sample from my 10 year olds rash to Vikor. Testing came back with over $1200 in charges for the testing. Crooked company that takes advantages of customers that are entrusting doctors to get reasonable test done for conditions. Took the invoice to the doctor and they didn't order many of the tests that were performed and these tests were determined by the lab. Will never use this group again!
