I bought a Singer sewing machine through the Viking Sewing Gallery at Joanne's. I went in with a specific machine in mind (after researching online) and the women talked me into a different machine. Took it home, it didn't work. Took it back to the store and the woman told me she would expect that from a Singer. I reminded her that she was one of the ones who recommended this machine, which she denied, until she looked up the date and then she backpedaled. It was sent in for repairs. Still didn't work. I called to ask if they sold a part for my sewing machine, the lady I spoke with was extremely rude. When I told her what I was looking for she said I don't deal with Singer parts I told her that online it stated differently. Well, she said we sell Singer machines but I'm not going to open a box just to sell you a part. I told her that I didn't expect her to do this and hung up. Don't bother with this store, there a plenty of other places in Anchorage to shop where you will be treated nicely.

Just moved from Las Vegas and have a Topaz 40. Staff has helped me numerous times. Even when I bought the wrong hoop for my machine, they helped me get the right one and exchanged. I’ve had a hoop new not work and also helped me. I have no complaints.
