Don't waste you money. Just buy the kreg screws you need. This kit is insufficient for a large project; you're much better off buying a bunch of coarse screws to improve your skills before you get the fine screws for expensive hardwoods. To be honest, Kreg jigs are so amazing that you'll get there soon, but I feel let down that they have this kind of kit. I just buy the boxes of 1000 and I have just what I need. I bought the blue screws since I can use them indoor or out.

High quality screws. These screws tap into wood really well. Nice assortment of sizes to start off with to see what you need more of.

I'm An Instant Convert I got these after stripping out all the screws that came with my Stanley hasp. This was a real eye-opener about how much difference quality can make. I zipped through all seven screws in under five minutes, no pilot hole needed. I'll be shopping for this brand when I need to refill my box.

Pocket hole screws For the task, these screws are the answer. I haven't used but a few so far and I'm satisfied with the results.

Kreg screws seem more designed for hard wood, fir? not so much My first project was making a large storage 6 shelf rack for the garage. I used the longer screws for this, but found that, in the softer fir, that the screws tended to strip if I was not careful. I finally found some larger screws at the hardware store that would fit in the pocket hole, which grabbed the fir much better. I can easily see the Kreg screws being more useful in oak or other hardwood.

Very useful to get you started but you'll need to graduate to the big boxes almost immediately If you have any firm idea of what you'll be using the kreg jig for you're probably better off working out which screws you actually need and then buying a bulk box of those. Having an assortment is actually not that handy if like me you are building all cabinets and shelves, always joining the same widths of wood together. So it was fine for the first day or so but not very economical

They work well I bought these with the Kreg R3 Jr, and I'm glad I did. You should be able to find the right screw for just about any project in this collection.
