A very bad place to shop – John Buchheit is the president of Viking International. His self-review below leaves out a few details. FIrst, it's true that he refunded my deposit, But this was only after I managed to discover his personal cellphone number and call him on it. Happy Customer – I would like to say the staff at the store are awesome. I feel that Mr.Lanburg's words where very strong and I disagree with his opinion. To call them thiefs is wrong. As that is not how they have stayed in business for over 29 years. My family and I have shopped with them for over 20 years and I do it from Maryland. We are sorry that Mr. Landsburg's experience at Viking International Furniture was disappointing. The manufacturer in Italy experienced a significant delay in producing and shipping his product. We regret this happened. The manufacturer sent him a letter apologizing and explaining the situation. Viking then gave Mr. Landsburg a 20% discount on his purchase for his inconvenience. Rude, uncommunicative and dishonest. – I purchased a couch, for which Viking promised delivery within 12 to 14 weeks (with the possiblity of some delay, in which case they would contact me). It has now been 22 weeks. No contact. Not one of my phone calls has been returned. The sales person I reached a few days ago told me that the order cannot be cancelled under any circumstances, and that it could take them up to *EIGHT YEARS* to fill the order.
