Victoria's Cakery is Wonderful Victoria's Cakery is a special treasure for all of us living in this area. Any of their cakes are amazing, old time fresh butter-cream frosting makes you say mmmm... after a small taste. Not only are their cakes all delicious, they offer many sizes and do a grand job on their reasonably priced wedding cakes. Try their chocolate dipped shortbread cookies and just let it melt in your mouth. Eating anything from Victoria's is a real treat. Enjoy!
Can you say HEAVEN???!!!?? Before I give my ideas about the review, i'll tell you a little bit about myself just so that you can see if this review will help you: I'm a foodie. I love food, but at the same time I am very picky about what I'm getting with the price of a meal. I also have to say that I'm very picky when it comes to cakes. Heaven Cake is Pure Bliss I love, love, love the cakes that I have had from Victoria's Cakery. I drive past several other bakeries to arrive here for my birthday cakes. It's my yearly special treat for myself. The heaven cake is delicious, with white chocolate frosting and raspberry filling complementing each other very nicely. Those two flavors aren't even in my favorite flavors, but I love them in this cake. This year I am trying the mocha chocolate with kahlua for my birthday tomorrow. I cannot wait!
Strawberry Fields I've had every cake from victorias menu as my company frequently orders from them for anniversary celebrations. Over all, excelent cake, but the strawberry fields is by far the worst offering. It needs some work, the strawberry jelly is very artificial tasting and i think the cake would be much better with a regular vanilla icing. Not that great I went to Victoria's Cakery because I read so many great reviews about it. I ordered the Strawberry Fields cake. I paid ALOT of extra money to have it decorated for a 50th wedding anniversary. The regular cakes only have a colored ribbon around it. No other decorations. I had it decorated and it doubled the price. The cake was lopsided. Not falling over, but definitely lopsided. The strawberry filling tasted like it was taken right out of a jelly jar. The BEST! We found out about Victoria's when we were tasting wedding cakes for our daughter's recent wedding. Victoria's was by far the VERY BEST of the many we tasted. It was rich and moist...guests raved about it! In appearance it was simple and elegant -- very classy! This morning I ordered a smaller version of it to celebrate our new son-in-law's birthday on Monday. Now I won't even consider buying a cake anywhere else!
The Ultimate Wedding Cake My wife and I had a delicious cake from Victorias for our Wedding Cake, and have ordered the same cake every year on our anniversary. We have had the same cake 21 times. Victorias ROCKS!!
Good Baker Very reasonably priced baker, especially for wedding cakes. I have been to a wedding where the bride had a cake from here and it was moist, delicious and fresh. (What a nice surprise for a wedding cake!)
The BEST cakes around! The variety of cakes available and the quality of the cake decorating is phenomenal. The only potential negatives are that they only take cash, you need to order a week in advance, and parking in that area is a bit of a challenge. However, it is totally worth the extra effort!
