Basement rooms weren’t advertised when booking the room. $600+ for a darkroom under a staircase so I could hear each guest tromping up and downstairs What a dissapointment.
It's a pricey budget place. Know this there is no AC!!! It gets warm. They have fans for the window in the drawers!!! Get them out and up as soon as you arrive. They are very good at cooling the room. Weird thing I noticed ..no art on the walls. It doesn't make the room any worse but it's weird. Also the rooms are pretty basic. Beds were pretty comfy . Great location in the heart of Telluride. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and met our needs. I recommend the Victorian Inn!
Two reasons for the 1 star. #1 Our street side room only had open/close blind in the window and none of the rooms have air conditioning. The hotel suggest using supplied duel fans for placing in an open window to cool the room. Here is the problem with our street side room. LIGHT! The blinds do a TERRIBLE job of blocking out light plus you need them raised 20% open to not block the fans circulation of air. $360 To smell cigarette smoke throughout the evening and morning. Let me preface that I rarely write negative reviews of places . When we booked we had location only in mind. The location is perfect right in the heart of downtown. That is about the only good thing that this place has to offer. There is NO AIR-CONTIOINING.
