I had a very poor experience today. I reached late for for swiming with the boys 20 mins late, walk in. Husband couldn't find his keys, anyhow they said they were at capacity after asking me if I had an account. I did not have an account and I was about to leave when a woman not of colour came in and they asked her if she has an account to which she replied no. Swimming here is great. Pool is always clean and plenty of life guards around. The ice surface is decent, some noticeable soft spots in the corners but that tends to be normal of a budget arena. We had our child there for a summer camp with the ice out, just concrete. Not having any sort of AC when its 40+°C out is kind of crazy... thankfully there is an AC cooled conference room upstairs they take the kids to.
Upgrades are great! I used to swim here as a kid. Still feels like I remembered but way better. Super clean. Flower planters are abundant and pretty. Well done city of Guelph
