I found Victor through an online search and overwhelmingly positive reviews. His salon is like an art studio with great ambience and a super-relaxing atmosphere. Just moved to OR from California, leaving behind everything I know and love including my amazing hairdresser wasn't easy, did a quick google search, was impressed with the reviews, so I decided to give Victor Hugo salon a try, 5 stars is not enough, Victor and his lovely wife Neptune were amazing, starting from the moment I stepped in, taste in every corner, they really take their time, they listen, give you their insight and advice, couldn't have been happier with the results. Victor Hugo owes my my daughter an apology for chopping off all her hair. He Cleary understood that she was growing her hair out. Starting at shoulder length Victor Hugo chopped her hair up to her ears. Completely shocked and completely unable to speak afraid to cry uncontrollably she stood her 30 week pregnant body up from the chair, taking the walk of shame leaving in complete embarrassment as every other hairdresser also remained silent to ashamed of this horrible deliberate fail of os haircut. . I have always been very anxious and nervous about getting my hair cut or colored. I have very long hair and no matter what I've told a stylist they have always traumatized me by cutting it too short and not taking any direction on the actual style or color I was looking for. That being said I have found my forever salon with Victor and Neptune! I have been using Victor Hugo hair salon for over 10 years and will continue with them for a long time to come. They are friendly, professional and, unlike some other so called salons, actually do what you ask EVERY time. If anything doesn't look just right they will correct it and make it all good immediately. A family friendly establishment, Victor Hugo salon receives my highest recommendation!

I have mixed feelings about this salon. I've been twice now and each time I loved my haircut. But have I loved my haircut at other, less expensive, less time consuming salons?...yes. They really play up having an "experience", but as a busy mom I don't really have 3 hours to sit in a salon for a haircut. You end up sitting around doing a lot of waiting while multiple people look at your hair, decide on color, apply the color. Then you wait around some more to have your hair cut.
