He doesn't take the time to listen and explain what is going on in a patients life/heart. He seems like he is being bothered by his patients and does not have a very pleasing/comforting demeanor. When dealing with heart problems one must learn to become kind. Especially when that patient has a large family history of heart problems, doesn't help the patient relax or feel at ease at all. He spent maybe 15 minutes tops with me to discuss results and left like I was just some person.
Seems that she has no compassion for her job/patients, doesn't listen, felt like I was just another patient, she was very rushed. My experience with her was a waste of time and money, I was pawned off to other specialist, which was better for me in the long run. Would not recommend.
Mi mother also comment doctor about getting a second opinion and he was not happy neither, he was upset. Doctor I hope you read this and change your mind the word Cancer means a lot to patients and a course they want a second opinion, do not take that personally but they want to confirm diagnostic... is not you is a piece of mind that they need.
This doctor scares me bedside manner terrible wants to take 7mm size lump out with radiation or take breast off with chemo made me feel uneasy bedside manner is terrible. Cancer doctor recommended Homortherepy after surgery Dr Ramirez appeared not to agree recommends radiation or take whole breast off will be getting 2nd opinion made me feel extremely uneasy. Office help is ok too long wait times
Dr. Victor Barnica is a fantastic surgeon. He is a kind and humble man very willing to spend as much time with you as necessary. Don't let his age fool you he is incredibly knowledgeable. Honestly, he is the best doctor I have ever dealt with and I would consider him a dear friend.
Dr. Castelein is as professional and caring as it gets. Her office is very well run and they always have test results quickly, stay on top of appointments and make it easy to get in at short notice if I have an urgent problem or question. She was very helpful getting me a referral for treatment for my prostate cancer. One of the best doctors I have seen!
He was able to solve my problem after having seen another doctor for 7 years with no results. Probem solved in less than a month. His bedside manor was great. I felt he really cared avbout my problem.
Dr. Barnica is a highly trained, excellent surgeon with a caring & compassionate bedside manner. He takes the time to answer questions and ensure that the patient understands their condition and treatment options. He is not afraid to tell a patient that they need to wait in order to determine the best course of action and is not quick to recommend surgery. He is an excellent addition to our medical community and the only one in his specialty. We are very fortunate to have him here!
I first met Dr. Barnica in the ER at MMC, he was very thorough, professional and polite. I left the hospital 48 hours later, minus a bad gall bladder, but knowing a Doctor I would return to without hesitation.
