I initially saw him but was very displeased with his professionalism so asked for a female doctor instead. Didn’t find him to be very friendly or thorough in his conversations. Would not recommend.
I have seen Dr. Barnica twice. At each visit he took time to get a very thorough background on my condition. He was courteous and professional. He was very reassuring and took the time to listen. I am so very happy that i choose Dr. Barnica.
Had been a patient of Castelein’s since she graduated. She still has a lot to learn, not only of humility, but respecting patients own knowledge. This includes medicine as well. She will insist she is right, when in fact, data and studies will show she is wrong. She is careless & doesn’t appear to take time to learn as new evidence is discovered. These are the most dangerous of doctors- believeing they are the superior base at all times. Never to learn, learning never ends.
Dr Barnica is an awesome doctor.he takes time to make sure you understand,very professional and knowledgeable and he goes above and beyond the call of a doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone.He saved my life and now I'm cancer free.God bless you Dr Barnica.

doctor Castelein is a very caring, she takes time to understand and helps you.
this doctor saved my life, he in emergency opened up my chest. Because the sub clav IV didn't follow my vein and punctured the sack around the heart ie paracardiem. it was just a biopsy instead of closing me right away he took a 2nd look with his camera. and seen my heart cavity filling up with blood. so cracked opened my chest saving my life!!!!
Dr. Castelein is a WONDERFUL and DELIGHTFUL person. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. I highly recommend her! She is the absolute best doctor I've ever seen. I am not a fan of going to any doctor but when I have appointments with Dr. Castelein I don't mind going one bit! She has such a way of explaining results, praising positives, as well as explaining places for improvement with such compassion.
He doesn't take the time to listen and explain what is going on in a patients life/heart. He seems like he is being bothered by his patients and does not have a very pleasing/comforting demeanor. When dealing with heart problems one must learn to become kind. Especially when that patient has a large family history of heart problems, doesn't help the patient relax or feel at ease at all. He spent maybe 15 minutes tops with me to discuss results and left like I was just some person.
