About this business

Good food and plenty of it is a great reason to choose this Theater District restaurant. The dining room features a North-Italian, minimalist design with terra cotta vases. Illuminated in soothing lights, this is a perfect spot to bring your date. There is a full bar where you can wait for your table, and the garden is perfect if you wish to dine under the NYC twilight. Attractive appetizers include calamari and there are also a variety of pasta dishes including ravioli, as well as chicken, seafood and veal. A solid wine lis... read more

Good ravioli! – The foods, prices and service are very good. This is the restaurant that I always go whenever I crave for ravioli. They have the best ravioli in NYC!

great food – The food was very good. It was a wonderful city restaurant with a fine set up. The waitress was top notch and the staff was very cordial.

Great Food, Great Service – My wife and I are both from the NYC area...we now live near Houston TX but come to NY every year on vacation. We stay near Times Sqaure and have often gone to the Bronx (Mario's) to satisfy our Italian craving. Patsy's is our new place. The sauce is great ( the owner came to our table and gave my wife a jar of the sauce...she now buys it at a supermarket in Texas) and the food is incredible. This is Southern Italian food at it's best. With so many bad choices near Times Sqaure or in Little Italy j... read more

Greasy hands indeed. – It saddens me that others can be saddened by a bad experience at a restaurant, but even more so that they would consider a $150 dinner for two to be fine dining. However, my wife and I have had many a great experience at Vice Versa. I?ve always found the service to be respectful and cordial and the food to be what is expected of a meal in its price range. Notwithstanding the possibility that a new waiter might be a little rough around the edges, I think it is safe to say that others can expect a positi... read more

The Fall From Grace – Folks, I never write reviews...because I always search for the best aspect of any dining experience, and generally dwell on that little gem as I grab my coat, walk or cab home half drunk, and relate the somewhat sanitized version of said experience over the ensuing days and weeks, whenever it might come up. That I am writing my first official restaurant review for public consideration should thus add some measure of validity to these observations. I will never again dine at Vice Versa - which saddens me... read more

After trying to eat down the street in our usual Italian spot which had no air conditioning and was too hot to enjoy dinner, we walked down the street until we came upon Vice Versa. What a great surprise! It's a beautiful place, and the fixed price menu was a great buy and the food was fabulous. We had a salad, delicious fish with mashed potatoes and the best spinach, and a nice dessert. The biscotti and cookies they brought at the end were wonderful. I love this place and am sad I didn't find it before. It will be my new fa... read more

My favorite – This is my "occasion" restaurant. It's always simply fantastic from start to finish, has an excellent wine selection, first-rate staff, and as an added bonus you never know who you might see there. I've had a number of different entrees and desserts there - all excellent. Sorry if this review isn't really specific. I just think you can't go wrong with Vice Versa, no matter what you order. In the warmer months, there's dining available in a little courtyard. The atmosphere is modern and trendy and the food is mo... read more

Great Italian food – Went with a group of 4 on a Saturday night before a Broadway show and loved almost everything about it. The restaurant's ambience was good and the service was superb. For the most part the food was very good, although i think i'd skip the calamari. I get that at alot of places and i can't really say i liked this version. But aside from that, the food was very good. Their wine selection was fantastic and really "made" the meal memorable. Also the proximity to the theatre district makes it a great choice b... read more
