I had the BEST experience at Le Méridien Central Park! The location is absolutely perfect just steps from Central Park, incredible restaurants, and some of the best shopping in New York City. Our room was modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for Manhattan. The bed was super comfortable and the city views were gorgeous. Definitely not 4 Star quality. We usually stay at the Essex House when in Manhattan. However, we decided to try something different this time. Big mistake. Although we are spending over $1,000 per night for a suite, it is substandard. Very tired looking. Scratched furniture (see photo) and drab/dingy rooms. Not a very good value for the price. Try the Essex House or somewhere else.
