An ambulance took me to St Francis. Staff were attentive and in spite of how busy things were, the nurses checked on me fairly often. The medical student was quite helpful. She will be a fine doctor. The room where I was placed was a pathway. � don't remember anyone checking vitals. There was not a doctor that came f�r several hours. My husband and I took his 83 yr old mother to urgent care in Wichita ks and they sent his mother to Via Christ St Francis ER, Wichita ks with a referral for a lab since they don’t do them in urgent care. We arrived around 4 pm at Via Christi ER, and waited for too long to finally get the lab work done, around 7:30 pm, After doing lab it was awhile longer when we finally had the trauma docs do her eval. Oct 9, 2026. While helping my wife being discharged I had a medical emergency myself. The nurse in charge , Francis, called immediately for a person to take me to the ER VIA a wheel chair. ER immediately processed me and took me into a station where a IV was inserted. Within 10 minutes I was moved to a private room an asked to put gown on .
