Dr. Schickner misplaced an IUD in me October 2024 which I had to get surgery to remove. During the procedure, I could tell something was not right. She nicked my cervix during the procedure and I was bleeding throughout and 12 hours afterwards. I asked multiple times if everything was okay, because I had done an IUD insertion before and this time was extremely different than the last. Always had a really great experience with each of the doctors at thus practice. Specially thankful for Dr. Kim, Dr. Mirame, and Dr. Panzer for their help during my last 2 pregnancies/births. We appreciate you all though, everyone was always informative, asked questions and took the time to listen to any concerns. Not to mention the front desk staff are always sweet and helpful, not dismissive like other places can be during check in. Thanks everyone!
I have given birth at this hospital 2X now (first time was with Kaiser out of this hospital) and have been a patient of their OBGYN group since 2021. They took care of me during my second pregnancy 2021/2022 and I am currently pregnant with my 3rd and again seeing this group. I think they provide excellent care both OBGYN and labor & delivery. I am not a high maintenance person who needs a lot of hand holding and coddling so I this group is a great fit for me because the are professionals and not overbearing.
My birth experience was good. However, postpartum care was negligent and the ob group seems more interested in getting good reviews recorded than following up on patients progress or developing symptoms postpartum. I got more calls from patient experience than the providers. This probably isn't unique to VHC but you won't find an improvement on women's health postpartum care here.
