My vet recommended I use VetGen for my pups EIC testing prior to our breeding cycle. I paid for my test, sent it in and received an email on May 9th that it was received and would be processed with results in 2 weeks. As the weeks went by, I tried calling. Phone number did not work so I emailed looking for results. Absolutely horrible! I sent in swabs well over a moth ago! The website states 2 weeks turnaround time for test results. They DO NOT answer their phones. I finally got ahold of someone through email and I was told that I would have results before Oct 4th, 2021. the evening of the the 4th I still hadn't gotten results back; so I emailed them again. I purchased a test for collie.vet Gen received in the Que on February 4th 2011...till this day I haven't received results .it's been over 3 months. I contacted Vetgen more than 5 times an in response I receive "it hasn't given a result". No money back. I am still waiting.
Website takes your money but does not issue a receipt, phone number does not work, order form link is broken, sent in numerous emails, but never received a response of any kind. This business has absolutely no customer service and does not do the work you pay them for. Don't waste your money
I sent swabs in 2 and a half months ago and never received results. I sent six or seven emails asking what the issue was and continually received the response that they were checking into it. I finally gave up and asked them to refund my money (doubtful they will do). Communication and follow through is horrible. If they had just given me an explanation, asked for more time, or asked for a new sample, I would have been happy to do so. It's astounding how little they care about customer service. Don't waste your time.
I will not be using them again. I sent in two test for coat length testing. I received the results a month later when I wrote them asking about the second sample they said they were still working on it. Two weeks later I received a letter with two swabs that they needed a new sample for the second dog. I sent in the swab sample to DM test and provided my credit card information. My card was charged but no results were sent to me. I tried to call them but they are not answering their phone due to COVID-19. That doesn’t make any sense. Their answering machine says to email them for questions. Did that several times without a return email response. Finally sent another email to them in which they informed me that they sent the test results to my vet because they are the client. Horribly slow, I sent 2 sets in for coat testing. They claim a turnaround of about 2 weeks. It has now been 2 months and I have yet te receive my results. There are other faster more reliable options out there. Will not use them again.
Vetgen is affordable but not reliable. Vetgen received DNA swabs for three tests on June 4. It took 4 weeks to get the first test result. Received the next one three weeks later. Received an email reply about the third and final test and was told it would be done Tuesday the following week. That was almost 3 weeks ago. So, now not receiving replies to emails. Very disappointing and terrible service.
