No doubt, the worst care I have ever received for a dog, hands down. 70 years old, I have put down 7 dogs, I always do what is right. On 6/27/2024 Catalina was seen by VMC. While their diagnosis of laryngeal pareses may have been accurate, it was woefully shy of the extensive problem she had...a massive lung tumor so large it was pushing on her diaphragm, making breathing a major struggle. I went to Kindness Animal Hospital on 7/24, where upon examination the cancer was found. We euthanized my best friend on 7/27/2024. She s... read more

In 60+ years of dog visits  to vets across the country, have I ever received less compassionate care than at VMC, bar none!

We just moved in to the area. Our dog suddenly become dizzy, disoriented, acting like a drank. We called the center, were told to come in, warned about possible waiting time without an appointment. In about 1.5 hrs. the doctor had seen the dog, and told that they are going to run some tests. In 15 min we're told that it could be some poisoning and it should get better, tests confirmed that our 2.5yo dog has internal organs of 2.5yo dog, they applied a regular NaCl solution under the dog's skin, and provided with $816 charge ... read more

have to say how disappointed I am with Veterinary Medical Center of St. Lucie County! After today I will never go back! I took my dog Jake in today for a non-emergency visit at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I called last night to let them know we would be coming in and they suggested around 7:00 a.m. because he can be a little aggressive and as a precaution we sedate him using medication that VMC previously prescribed to be given the night before and again 3 hours prior to our coming in. The reason for the appointment is because... read more

I requested in writing that my dogs were not to be shaved, explained in person to the groomer - DO NOT SHAVE; they shaved my dogs and had the nerve to say it was “more cost effective…” ; the so called “ professional groomer” did a total hack job; negative 5

ER visits rushed - technician only took vitals, seemed uninterested in concerns. Dr Decter treated a young dog that came in with lethargy, shivering, hesitant walking / climbing stairs, rash, and not barking and hesitation eating. Records reflect pet was treated for nausea (on record), and advised owner to dispense benadryl (not on record?). Very dissatisfied with most of the staff's lack of compassionate care and understanding the urgency and gravity of pet's declining condition. Upon 4th daily consecutive ER visit, pet w... read more

I trusted my little (12.50 lb Australian Terrier puppy),Honey to Vet Med Center while my wife and I went to Italy for 3 weeks. They had cared for her wonderfully several other times and my only fear was not having her with me, I am a 78 yr old hard nosed veteran with a four son family but the boys always had the dog. So this is my first dog. Big Deal. Several factors entered my trust in this facility, 1. The entire staff i have interacted with was compassionate and caring. The 24 hour availability of a Doctor. The cle... read more
