Wonderful people at this clinic! They truly care about your pet and the pet's owner (mom or dad). They helped me with my precious dog when arthritis made it difficult for him to do normal things like climb stairs, get into the car and even walk. I can't thank them enough for all they did to help us.
I am extremely disappointed. I have been going to Dr. Kocen for years and I've always been pleased, but I am tired of not hearing back from him as promised. I have been trying to get an answer to a question for over three months. I have emailed and called several times. I scheduled a phone consult, and when I called he was not available. He never called back as promised and has not responded to an email sent since then. This is happened before, although never to this extent. My elderly (almost 15 years old!) rabbit and my older gal pooch love visiting Dr. Kocen! He has a fantastic way of explaining the benefits of acupuncture therapy to a "Western" ear, and we've been visiting him for mobility and quality of life for 9 months since he was recommended by my rabbit's primary care exotic vet. VHC is amazing. We've used Dr. Kocen before with our Siamese. It's a very relaxed atmosphere for your pet. He's very thorough in his exam through discussion. We truly believe in homeopathy. We chose this option over invasive surgery. We will do a follow up in 3 weeks. We highly recommend VHC.

Our dog Higgins was diagnosed with Cushings in 2013. While he could take traditional meds they didn't take care of all his symptoms, mostly his attitude. The staff and Dr. Kocen were very helpful. Higgins was bearable because of the herbs Dr. Kocen prescribed. Higgins passed away in May of 2015 but his last two years were made possible because of this office. We will definitely keep them in mind when we get a new pet and I recommend them often.
Dr. Kocen is phenomenal -- kind, knowledgeable, and effective! Our dog Reagan was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease. Unfortunately, she did not tolerate the traditional medication, and her quality of life appeared to deteriorate before our eyes. After a few weeks on the herbal medication prescribed by Dr. Kocen, her liver values have already showed improvement! More importantly, she appears calmer and happier. We highly recommend this practice.
