Dr. Sheahan is amazing! My dog has a bad eye injury and my best friend who’s in the vet industry referred me to her. It was an hour drive for me but it was so worth it!!! Dr. Sheahan explained everything in such detail, but in a way us normal folk can understand it. Dr. Sheahan was amazing. After a disappointing experience with another veterinary ophthalmologist, our visit with her was night and day. She genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to clearly explain everything. I especially appreciated that she doesn’t push unnecessary procedures and demonstrates excellent clinical judgment. On September 1, 2025, my husband and I returned from an 8 day vacation to find our dog's right eye looked a little hazy. Over the course of the day, her right eye became completely cloudy/opaque and I knew she had to see an ophthalmologist right away. Dr.Sheahan and all of her staff are amazing! I brought my cat Niko for some changes in one his eyes. He is typically very shy at that vet, but Dr.Sheahan and her team were so great and patient with him. She did an amazing job of explaining to me what was going on every step of the way, and providing me and my partner with information on how to give my cat meds and things to read and what’s going on with his eye. I highly recommend the friendly, patient, and supportive team of professionals at VEC!
