The doctor wanted to put my dog down. She missed my dogs veins a few times when it came to the catheter which caused my dog even more stress. My dog recovered from pneumonia at Highland Park Animal Hospital. They never once talked to me about putting down my pet at highland park but it’s the first thing they suggested at VEG. Never will I return and please consider other emergency services if you’re needing help.

We took our dog Vinny in after he exhibited seizures like symptoms and we are so appreciative of Brenna and the VEG team for their quick response and attentiveness! They did everything they could to make sure we were all taken care of and to quickly assess Vinny. We felt confident taking Vinny home knowing they’d fully evaluated him and gave us treatment options for next steps.
After both Banfield and BluePearl told us to just go home and pray, this is the ER that actually listened to our concerns and did something about it. They saved our senior dog and actually cared and read her medical history thoroughly. The best part is that they allowed us to stay with our dog through every procedure so that she could feel comforted.
Great experience and took care of our fur baby. The entire team from the receptionist to the doctor was exceptional. Special shoutout to Dr. Watson, Gyanna, and Celia for making the first time visit less stressful and explaining everything clearly. We won’t hesitate to come back if another emergency happens.
