Get directionsDr. Melis Odabas-Geldiay is truly exceptional! My wife and I had to bring in our 12-year-old German Shepherd, Griz, late on a Friday night/early Saturday morning, and she could not have been more compassionate or caring. At the time, I honestly believed it was the end for Griz. My wife loves this dog more than me (not exaggerating!), and Dr. Melis was incredibly sympathetic and understanding, treating Griz as the beloved family member he is. I know veterinarians are faced with the heartbreaking responsibility of putting ani... read more
We were very grateful for everything that they did for our cat. Your compassion and professionalism was exceptional during this sad time. We recommend their services to anyone who is in need. Richard & Eleanor Nannis
My dog ate a baby wipe and began acting abnormal. After being examined and having an xray he was found to be fine. Cost $ 895 . Robbery like this is shameful. But it is a large corporation with the main goal of making huge profits. 895 dollars is really a huge amount of money for most of us. Shame on you guys.
Top notch. Brought my girl here for what I thought was a bladder stone obstruction, and it was. The Dr. Koonce was beyond impressive. Watched as she finagled through many different situations with professionalism and knowledge. She was able to remove the stone, and I was able to bring my girl home. This place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend.
Please don’t go to this place! They don’t know what they are doing! They only want your money!!!!! They make you sign an estimate for diagnostic exams a for close to 2 thousand dollars. They proceed to get help reading g X-rays via online communication with a remote veterinary. We lost our dog because of a bad decision in treatment! I could go on with our terrible experience, but I don’t want to start crying again. Bottom line: paid almost 2k and came home with our beloved dog in a box….
This is the second time we brought our pet to this animal hospital, I am sure it's the last. First of all, THEY HAVE NO RECORD ON FILE of our last visit in JULY 2024; it is now DEC. 2024, and NOTHING ON FILE. Second, after the girl kept digging and digging and digging in her neck, trying to get a blood sample, dropping the needle, and having to get someone else to try, it's ridiculous. At our regular vet, the wellness clinic in Spring Hill, they get the blood fairly quickly, without the digging and causing our little girl t... read more

We recently had an unfortunate need to utilize VEG when our furbaby's health rapidly declined on a weekend. I cannot speak HIGHLY enough of the staff at VEG in Oakley! From the minute we arrived until the minute we left, they were absolutely PHENOMENAL in every way. The facility is clean and extremely comforting as I hate being "stuck" in a room with my baby in another room and being terrified in an already terrible situation. The staff, OMG , the staff is AH-MAZING in every sense of the word! They immediately went to work t... read more
My dog ate a tennis ball while playing at a dog park. When I got to him, it was too late; and he already swallowed most of it. My Vet helped me to induce vomit, but not much came out. He advised me to go to the nearest VEG. Dr. Anna Taylor at the Falls Church, VA location was the one to take charge. She administered more vomit inducement. Seeing that not enough came out, she administered the delicate procedure to take out the tennis ball piece by piece from my dog's stomach. Bit by bit, she was able to get them all. She and ... read more
