Edit Post: I will say this- VEG as a company was extremely compassionate about my situation. After writing an email I was contacted almost immediately by Deontae Matthews the Operations Manager and the Medical Director- they listened and cared about my experience and although nothing can bring my puppy back- being acknowledged and listened to meant the world to me. While the staff was exceptionally professional and compassionate, I was taken aback by the prohibitive cost structure at this emergency vet. Although one expects a premium for after-hours care, the pricing here borders on the extortionate. Between a $1,500 diagnostic bill and a $5,000+ estimate for a one-night stay, the costs are simply detached from the reality of the services rendered. My sweet cat Poppy was exposed to lily pollen in a flower bouquet sent by a relative, and we quickly rushed him to VEG after bathing him. I was very impressed how quickly we were received and treatment began for my little man, and they were very compassionate, while also being thorough, in explaining treatment options and potential prognosis even though I was very anxious and terrified.
