****** **** DO NOT take your pet to VEG their entire staff is reckless and untrustworthy. I brought my dog in and they kept him overnight for fluids. The next morning, I woke up to an absolute nightmare. Without my consent, they took him into surgery. While putting him under, they overdosed him on anesthesia, stopping his heart. I woke up to frantic phone calls that my baby was getting CPR without even knowing they had planned to operate in the first place. This wasnt just one mistake its a reflection of VEGs dangerous, care... read more

When I brought my cat King; into the emergency veterinary facility, I expected prompt and compassionate care consistent with the urgency of an emergency situation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt there was a noticeable lack of urgency or empathy in their approach. My impression was that their focus seemed more centered around securing payment rather than addressing my pets immediate medical needs. In todays economic climatewhere many individuals are struggling due to job loss or f... read more

This is my second emergency visit to the place on south loop on 1114 S Clinton St Unit B Chicago, IL 60607 im am very disappointed how they overcharged me with no guarantees. I was extremely devastated when i ran after my furry baby spayed incision opened. Our usual vet was unfortunately closed that day and had no other option. I was told by the doctor all types of scary examples if i didn’t decide to do the surgery. I couldn’t stop crying because i didn’t want to loose my 7 month healthy baby. I couldn’t afford to pay that ... read more

Agree With others comments about Both the quality of care and the cost. I felt like Vet techs didnt know what they were doing. Brought my dog in because she had eaten something potentially toxic. Although I got in right away, it was hours before they actually induced vomiting. They were more concerned about getting me to sign the treatment plan document agreeing to the crazy high payment schedule. Then when I told him seemed to expensive, they came up with a different treatment plan, but all of this took an incredible amount... read more

I took my cat to Veterinary Emergency Group because my vet couldnt do an ultrasound that day. I was charged around $1800 and then told them that I wanted to return to my vet for medication and to discuss what to do next. They told me that for another $5000 they could save my cats life. I said no. They insisted that I buy the medicine from them, another $300. They behaved as though I was a bad pet owner for not spending another $5000. It was clear to me that they had quotas to meet and showed little or no compassion for me or... read more

We brought our dog to the *** office in **********. He was exhibiting signs of an ear infection. They did an initial intake with vitals and then the Vet came and asked us his symptoms. This was all while sitting on a chair by the door. We told her he had been shaking his head and was pawing at his ears and he had an odor coming from the ears. She proceeded to look at him and said their otoscope was broken so she would just examine him visually. NEVER have I gone to a Vet with any of my dogs and not had the appropriate equipm... read more
