We had our initial training consultation with Angela. She was great and gave us helpful advice and feedback! I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the doctor in a couple of weeks! Also, regarding costs, I received a quote from a trainer who was not affiliated with a vet and didn’t have the same level of certifications for $450 a session. Their cat behavior "specialist" (who is not board certified as I came to learn) came to our home and did an assessment that could've been explained over the phone without the extraordinarily expensive consultation, (but I understand that that's legal require requirement for prescribing medication apparently). Anyway, we found the "expert council" lacking and completely un-insightful, which was disappointing for the hundreds of dollars that we paid. The best place in all of Carrollton, actually its more like all of DFW, if you need a vet who helps with behavioral issues for fur babies, Dr. Florshem is wonderful! Great location off Marsh and Trinity Mills. Celeste in the front office is so awesome and truly cares for my fur babies!
Had our first visit today and we are very pleased. Across all pets we have over the years, I cannot recount a time that a pet was treated like a family remember rather than a case, but our dog very much felt more than just a case here. Dr. Florsheim was truly interested in our dog’s story and invested in her future. She validated all of our feelings along the behavior journey thus far, and we left feeling hopeful for our dogs future for the first time in a long time, if ever.
