I have never felt so abandoned and deemed worthless by my own country. Thank you for your service is a lie here, based on my own experience. I am a 100% s/c paralyzed veteran and former Advocate, but this VAMC and the VSN refuses to follow VHA Directives. And they lie. And they will make false entries into your health record.
I have been a paralyzed veteran for 32 years and this goes far beyond the worst VA medical center I've ever seen in this country. The last straw was when they refused to let me be seen for a scheduled appointment at the mobility clinic and I had to find an ATP in Bountiful and pay full price for a new chair. Being 100% service connected means nothing to them. I'm paralyzed from the chest down and they don't help me with anything, I'm getting no help at all.
