I’ve taken pets to many veterinary clinics over the years. Nervous animals are normal. Scared kittens are normal. What surprised me was how quickly this clinic seemed to blame a frightened kitten rather than reflect on whether the handling itself may have contributed to the situation. We came in expecting routine preventive care and left feeling like we were the problem. Not an experience I would recommend.
This was honestly one of the most upsetting veterinary experiences I have ever had. I brought my kitten here for a routine FVRCP vaccination. I expected a simple preventive care visit. Instead, I left feeling shocked, stressed, and deeply uncomfortable with how my kitten was handled. The process was unclear. We didn’t know we had to check in or where to check in like many other people in the line. We checked after waiting in line for a while. After we checked in we had to wait in line for an hour. Then my puppy freaked out because she was getting shots and microchipped. She started crying, barking, trying to escape the vet and vet tecs hold.
