Having undergone a knee replacement surgery about 7 weeks ago, and staying 2 nights (an extra night needed due to a fainting spell), and having not been in a hospital patient in over 40 years, I must say I was more than impressed. All the employees, from the admitting and pre-op staff, to the many medical staff (day and night), x-ray technician, physio nurses and the surgeon, were nothing but professional, kind, caring and hard-working. Dr. Nguyen is one of the most disdainful healthcare practitioners I have ever met. She misdiagnosed my pathology a year ago, and when I show up with new information on the same issue --which has deteriorated and is affecting mobility-- she tells me I didn't need to come through the emergency department, and dismisses me; placating me with half of what I asked for. I went to a walk-in clinic in Vernon today before it even opened, and was turned away. I would rather limp to Vancouver than be her patient again.
