We live in the DFW area and have kids attending ACU. Needed an honest mechanic for what I thought (from afar) was a faulty alternator. Turns out the boys at Vernon and Fletcher determined it was just a loose battery cable. Appreciate the honesty! We will use them again if needed!
Today I dropped off my sons truck thinking the transmission was going out and braced myself for the worst. I get a call late this afternoon telling me the truck was fixed. It ended up being a minor fix and they weren’t even going to charge me for it. I have been taking my vehicles here for years and I will continue to do so. What a great bunch of honest and kind people that work here. I highly recommend them.
Throughout my time in Abilene, Vernon & Fletcher has always been where I take my car to get worked on. They are so helpful and truly do everything they can to provide the best service possible. As a college student, they have taken such good care of all my mechanic needs and always been considerate of my budget as much as possible. I appreciate them so much!!

Dropped off my vehicle there. It took 3 days for them to get back to me about the problem with the car after 3 phone calls asking when it would be diagnosed. I was informed that rotors and brake pads were worn. I decided to take somewhere else. After taking some where else, I was informed brake pads had little wear and parking break shoe just needed to be adjusted. Vernon and Fletched wanted to charge me $400 for something that just needed an adjustment. They were the techs who repaired the parking brake originally. I can’t ... read more
