I scheduled a routine cleaning at Vernon Dental Care and was told after my exam and X-rays that I needed a deep cleaning pending insurance approval. I was advised it would take about two weeks. No one followed up, so I called and was told the claim had been denied. After contacting my insurance directly, I learned the denial was due to improper coding and lack of justification for a deep cleaning.
