Best restaurant I’ve visited in a while. I can tell a lot of thought by very talented people has gone into every dish. The atmosphere is very chill and feels like old Nashville. What could I say about Locust that I couldn’t say about Verna Cafe?!?
Cajun AND Japanese? I had to check it out. SO, happy that I did. (You should too) Crawfish Hand Pie is on point. The Summet Corn Cake is fabulous as well. Cappuccino prepared perfectly Pleasant, efficient service. Can't really ask for more. I am already planning to come back and try more of this well thought out perfectly executed short menu.
The cafe for breakfast was amazing. Also, the backdoor bar is a hidden gem. Evenings there are fun and enjoyable…like an old school gathering place / pub for the community.
Can’t express enough how much of a hidden gem this place is. Incredibly thoughtful drinks and food (so much gluten free stuff, too) and some of the warmest and most genuine hospitality in the city. If you aren’t stopping in here, you just don’t know what you’re missing!
