I highly recommend Vermont Lanterns. I was unsure of which lantern and accessories to order for an upcoming camping trip and called for advice. I found their customer service to be knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and friendly. Their shipping is fast! The lantern I purchased is well-built and absolutely adorable. Recently ordered 20' of the 7/8" flat oil lamp wick. Very impressed with the quality, price was very reasonable. Placed the order on a Sunday and the next day received a notification that it has been shipped out, very prompt! Definitely going to look at the site again for lanterns and it's really nice seeing dimensions, burn time, candle power, etc...

I was looking for something to use to replace tealight candles in a camping lantern. I found their website and saw a lantern that had an insert that was removable. I emailed the company, explaing what I was looking for and, eventually, I was informed that the inset for this paticular lantern could be sold seperately. When I called to place the order, the gentleman was very nice and helpful answering my (to me) seemingly stupid questions. They arrived today and I am SO happy! These were the perfect solution!

If you have a problem with a lantern, Kirtan Carr is the one to talk to. I blew my glass out by having the wick too high. Make sure you have the wick just above the plate that it comes out of. I had it protruding from the dome above the plate. Anyway, when I get my 15" hurricane lantern fixed, I'm gonna hang her outside in the first Wisconsin Blizzard of the year and see what she'll do. Stay tuned. Jake
