Meet the Business Owner George A. Business Owner Growing Vermont-hardy perennials, especially those that are tolerant of shade, in the third shadiest state in the Continental US has been a personal challenge for over 50 years. Macro photography, +40 years in state government working in human services, climbing mountains in Maine and learning about autism first hand from my son, now 24, have added to the challenges. Come visit Vermont Flower Farm in person in Marshfield, Vermont or online at vermontflowerfarm.com. It's worth ... read more

Second visit today and once again George was affable and engaging and so informative. You must visit, the daylily field is stunning! Left with daylilies, hosta and astillbes. Gail also dug a plant from by her house that I had inquired about last visit. She knew exactly which plant i was describing and said she had it by the house. The epitome of customer service! Their joy in what they do is infectious. Treat yourself to a visit. It was worth the two hour drive.
Visited today, asked for Monarda "Jacob Kline" and 1-2-3 there was a freshly dug clump in a bag in my car (along with a few other items). I am a good gardener and not easily impressed, but George's knowledge and caring about the plants was IMPRESSIVE. And the selection on peonies and hostas was terrific. I will go back. When in Marshfield don't miss a meal at "Rainbow Sweets".
What an extensive array of Day Lilies and perennials. I could have walked the fields for hours!
I have driven past so many times traveling between VT and ME. Today was the day to stop and gaze at the colors-oh so many colors! I enjoyed a wonderful chat with George and had to purchase a couple pots of day lilies to plant at Kezar. I'll be back!!
Finally made it to the flower farm! Day lily heaven! Thank you!
I've passed this place by many times on my way to Burlington, thinking "someday I'll stop in." Today was the day and I was just in a state of wonder walking around looking at all the stunning daylilies, not to mention the hostas and many other types of perennials. This nursery is truly a labor of love. A feast for the eyes! The lily I ended up buying is a huge, healthy looking specimen loaded with buds. Can't wait to get it in the ground.
Very friendly owners and beautiful garden and flowers!
