While in an rtc, my son was put on a psych med that requires frequent blood draws because the med can cause serious complications-even death. We weren't told about the potential side effects and although the blood work showed he was having a serious side effect, she kept him on it until he wound up in the hospital with pneumonia. 4 months later Dr. Verma quietly left the rtc.
