Bad customer service and a dismissive attitude from employees. They want to sell you stuff but don't care about the quality or warranty when it goes bad. There's nothing like needing the company that sold you a product to back it up, and then being told to go somewhere else when that product is defective. Verizon's protection plan is worthless. And the employee at this store , who was the greeter at that time, didn't care at all that one of their customers had an issue.
We visited this location to reset two existing phones and to transfer data from one phone to another. The process would have been difficult to navigate on our own, but luckily we had the help of an incredibly patient associate (John Hutton). He walked us through each step, which took longer than normal due to an overdue software update and the need to transfer of a lot of data. After 17 years of being a customer they still try to nickel and dime you. Upgrading a line and paying the $35 upgrade fee is outrageous.
November 4 2024 called 800-922-0204 for online customer service. After 25 minutes on hold, got connected to a person in the call center in the Philippines. Explained to him that I want to use my new Verizon visa card for monthly autopay (which has been set up previously using my checking account). What he did was removing the autopay setup for no reason, then told me to log into my Verizon account online to do the switch to use Verizon visa card as he has no access to do so. Poor customer service. I checked in and browsed products and waited. Two employees asked me if I had checked in and confirmed what I was there for. The second one had just finished helping another customer. Why couldn't he help me instead of saying someone would be out soon to help me?? And so I waited more - while this guy stood at the front of the store staring out the window.
