Walked in to update my phone- I am a on a family plan and authorized to make changes (ie update phone, purchase new device). The employee asked me to login to my account (rather than pulling up our account information himself- I am at an actual store). I informed him I do not have access to our Verizon account on my phone. I was then told I could not upgrade my phone since the account holder was not present, something about this is the policy at corporate stores. OK, this is my favorite Verizon store. I've always had excellent, knowledgeable, friendly help here. Just recently I was working with Todd to replace my mangled phone. It is not a simple process to make the swap with all the previous guarantees and rewards that I was given for my previous purchase. To make a change to your plan the employee dials a phone and hands it to you to speak with someone in a call center in another country and then walks away. The call center employee can't tell you what your new cost will be, they say they will contact you in a few days? There is more, but suffice to say we walked out and had a cheaper plan and new phone from T-Mobile within the hour.
Came here to do a phone trade, Kelly was helping me, but seemed to be busy with other stuff and wasn’t really acknowledging me. I had some questions because I haven’t done this before and wasn’t understanding her. She rolled her eyes when I asked for her to clarify something to my mom because she is running the family plan. I work in customer service so I understand being tired of questions but I asked politely and wasn’t being rude.
